Born as Rita Brigitte Paul on December 2, 1928 in Berlin-Charlottenburg, Germany and died March 27, 2021 in Berlin-Zehlendorf, Germany.
She became one of the most successful German pop singers of the 1950s, often performing alongside Bully Buhlan. She also appeared in a number of German films and, after she moved to the United States, in three American films.
