Flammea was one of the first female metal bands from Brazil. Based in Brasilia, they were part of the Brazilian female metal “golden” era. The original line-up was Daisy Bentim (guitar), Shirley Jovie (vocals), Ana Lima (drums), Rosane Galvão (bass) and Adriana Tuvares (guitar). They released a two song demo named “Dark Brain,” and then went through several lineup changes.
Adriana went on - along with her two sisters - to the still active death metal band Valhalla, which has released one album. On the other hand, Flammea split up after not being able to arrange a record deal.
