Effective period / Period of releases: 1906 - 1908

Recording ensemble coined to re record the 1899-1904 recordings made by the 22nd Regiment Band of the New York National Guard and falsely attributed to Victor Herbert's Victor Herbert's 22nd Ragtime Band, ensemble he directed up to 1898. Many of these records were not original recordings but just reissues of the 22nd Regiment Band's recordings with the credits ommited. Some still announce the tracks as Victor Herbert's Band.

The band proper was directed by Fred Hager.
