American drummer.
He started his career in NYC and at 17 Steve joined the Al Cohn/Zoot Sims Quintet. At 20 Steve joined Sarah Vaughn for 2 1/2 years.
He also worked with jazz greats Joe Henderson, Eddie Daniels, Monty Alexander, Bob Sheppard, Pete Christlieb, and Mike Maineri among others.
Later he took the drum chair with "A Chorus Line" in Los Angeles and then was discovered and became a prominent recording musician in Hollywood.
