Girls@Play were a British short-lived girlband formed by Lisa-Jayne White (Executive), Rita Simons (Mechanic), Lynsey Shaw (NY Traffic Cop), Vicky Dowdall (Cowgirl) and Shelly Nash (Pilot). The group released two singles, 'Airhead' on February 12, 2001 and a cover version of 'Respectable', originally by Mel and Kim, on October 1, 2001. The first single reached #18 and the second reached #29 in the UK Top 40 chart. They also supported Hear'Say and Steps on their arena tours in 2000/2001. After the singles fail to reach the top of the charts the band decided to split up in November 18, 2001.
