Formed in 1985 by Larry Grogan, Bill Luther and Chris Grogan The Phantom Five eventually added future Mad Daddy's lead guitarist Don Buchnanan on bass. He was later replaced by Vince Grogan in time for the recording of the band's sole release, a 7" E.P. titled "Great Jones Street" which was produced by Mod Fun's Mick London and released in August 1986 on his Making Tyme label.
