Jody Parsley

Real name: Jody Parsey

Joe “Jody” Parsley, born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, is a little known name in the world of soul and funk 45s. He recorded his sole 45rpm single Soul streak b/w Hooked at the famous Mus-I-Col studios in Columbus, Ohio in 1974. He called the band Jody & the Individuals, simply because the musicians on the session were not a real band but friends of him. Parsley was always writing songs and playing music together with friends down in his basement. Actually, many of Springfield's top musicians met at his place to jam and to have a good time. Shortly after the Mus-I-Col session, Parsley recorded another handful of songs which he never released.

Edit: This is his grandson Baymon Blosser, we are still in possession of his music and I have spoke with my grandmother about releasing the rest of his music.
I miss him every day and I would do anything for this loving mans life back, love you Papa.

I am working on making music with friends of mine, he fueled my passion for making music and I am inspired by his musical talent.
