Michael Wesley
Real name: Michael Wesley Gephart
American pop singer.Born March 30, 1940 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
He won his first singing contest at the age of 10 in Dayton, Ohio. At the age of 13 Mike and his family moved to California.
His first professional engagement was for U.S.O. shows. He sang with a dance band called the Encores and when the band broke up he got a job on radio KXLA in Pasadena.
Ray Conniff saw Michael perform at a talent contest and asked him to send him a demo record. Conniff was impressed enough to have two songs witten for Michael to record, including one co-written by Conniff. At the age of 19, Michael had his first record. Wesley for a time also toured with Conniff, providing a young change of pace for the audience.
Michael continued his music career by majoring in Music at Mt. San Antonio College, hoping to become a concert pianist.
