Ole Edvard Antonsen

Norwegian trumpeter, flugelhornist, cornetist, musician and conductor, born 1962.He has previously been employed by the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, but has gradually worked mostly as a freelance musician and conductor. He now works as a conductor in the Prince's Music Corps in Denmark. He is internationally recognized, and is often used as a trumpet soloist.
He is regarded as one of the most outstanding trumpet soloistsworld-wide. After winning the First Prizes of the CIEM-competition in Geneva in 1987 and the UNESCO competition in Bratislava in 1989 he left his position at the Oslo Philharmonic and started his career as a full time read more performing and recording soloist.
He is the son of Odd R. Antonsen and the brother of Jens Petter Antonsen and Tom Erik Antonsen.
