Robert Marselje
Real name: Robert Marselje
Music has always held significance in Robert's life, beginning with an organ at his parents' house where he played melodies heard on the radio. His journey into creating original music commenced with his first synthesizer in 1985. As more equipment filled his room, collaboration with friends ensued. His initial opportunity to compose for others arose from a company in Almere, marking his first large-scale composition and the company's first collaboration with a musician. In 1992, Robert entered a new phase, working with other musicians on various dance projects and composing pop songs with a singer. His debut CD, "The Force of Music," was released in 1993, followed by "Waves In The Sky" in 1994. Joining the symphonic rock band Salisbury as a keyboard player late in 1994 allowed him to hone his live performance skills until the band disbanded after recording their demo tape "The Next." Inspired by the game Marathon (Bungie), he conceived a concept CD with an underlying narrative, culminating in the self-titled release of The Blue Team CD in 1996. A concert at "de Landing" (Eindhoven) ensued shortly after the release. In 2002, Robert returned to music after a hiatus, working on a score for the movie "Iskariot", but no new releases followed till 2020.
