Ecuadorian musical group with Andean roots, performs their record work mainly with music from the province of Imbabura, both indigenous and mestizo.
Members: Bolivar Ortiz (guitar), Segundo Guaña (guitar), Arturo Aguirre (pan flute), Arturo Mena (flute and pingullo) and Marco Tulio Hidrobo (flute and pingullo).
In 1958, at the initiative of record producer Luis Anibal Granja and under the direction of Marco Tulio Hidrobo, two records were recorded, Los Corazas, El Rondador Solitario, Hermanos Castro, Bolivar Ortiz - Raza De Bronce and Los Corazas, Hermanos Castro - Sol Aborigen.
In 1961 the Onix label owned by the Recalde family produced another album.
On July 6th, 2018 a concert happened at Casa de la Música, Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the band.
