Posey also sang with Bobby Goldsboro, Tommy Roe, and Joe Tex, and she sang back-up on Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman." Posey's million-selling signature hit from 1966, "Born a Woman," was covered by Nick Lowe in 1977.
