The Boss Mustangs, formed in early 2009 by guitarist Mickey Catalina, included bassist Henry Jay, drummer J. Edsel Hoover, guitarist Dave Jimenez and vocalist Dan Cadillac. At the end of 2011, bassist Henry Jay left the group and was eventually replaced in early 2012 by Hyde DeSoto. Guitarist Dave Jimenez also left the band in April 2012. The band decided to carry on as a four piece.
