John has been active as a composer for over four decades, the first beginning at the age of 14 with his original live synthesizer-based performance scores for theater productions. He then moved on to film scores, recordings, and ensemble performances.

Since his early days, John has worked extensively as a composer for film, television, dance, ensemble work, and various CD recordings in the capacity of composer, performer, and arranger. His music is featured in full-length motion pictures, CBC, TVO, VISION shows and series along with numerous other cable-based networks throughout North America and Europe. With a degree in music composition and his Master in Arts, John continues to create music that is his own.

In addition to John's work in the Film/TV medium, for many years he was a member, composer, and performer for the world-renowned Glass Orchestra. His role was featured over in several North American and World Tours with the culmination of a recording released on CMC recordings; Glass Orchestra, 'Human'.

The most recent discography includes two of instrumental ambient albums entitled 'Life Cycle' and 'Inside' as John Puchiele Ensemble. The third is an album of emotive songs, aka John Tigan 'Everything is Something'.

John is currently working on a musical called 'The Otherside". In 2020 John is looking to release a new John Puchiele Ensemble album and, a John Tigan album of songs.
