Meat Mouth were a short-lived hip-hop outfit formed by Rochdale art students Nicholas Blincoe and Mark Whittam in 1986. They recorded a demo tape at the end of that year that was picked up by Factory Records. Factory funded the recording and release of a single "Meat Mouth is Murder" in 1987 as Greg O'Keeffe was added to the group. After the release of that record the band supported Age Of Chance on tour, but following the lack of interest in the single or any real success, the members decided to return to university full time and disbanded.
