Chip Handy

Real name: Arthur Alvin Handy III

American experimental musician born Nov. 6, 1953, in Springfield, Mass; died Oct. 21, 2001. He founded the Militant Musician's Pond which centered around him with various guests. He was also a DJ at KDVS. Most of his music was released only on cassette, but he did have a track on the "Guitar Solos 3" LP compiled by Fred Frith. The LP announced a forthcoming LP of duos and trios with Davey Williams called "More Water" to be released on Trans Museq, but it was never released.
