Forrest Crawford
Jazz tenor saxophonist and clarinetist, born c. 1908 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Moved to New York in 1936, recorded with Bunny Berigan, forced to quit playing in 1937 due to tuberculosis, returned to St. Louis. Recovered sufficiently to lead own band at Showboat Ballroom in 1939. Subsequently left full-time music, no trace of his activities thereafter.
