Portuguese songwriter, composer, producer and guitar player born in 1958, author of some of the most widely-known songs in popular/romantic music from the 80s and 90s.

He began in the early 80s, during the heyday of Portuguese rock music, and was a member of TNT. He then left his band to release two solo albums on CBS Música E Discos, Lda., who proposed his pseudonym, Ricardo.

He was a member of several pop/rock bands, including Da Vinci, Samurai and the heavy metal/glam rock Ibéria, before leaving the stages and focusing on studio work, helming many popular hits.
