Saurus

Saurus (2) was a hard rock combo from Den Burg on the isle of Texel, The Netherlands, that made 2 cassette albums, recorded in the studio of Freakowitz & Einstein and released on Trumpett subsidiary The Birthday Tapes Society: 'Heavy Birthday To You!' (July 1981) and 'Four Roses Of Heavy Metal' (August 1981). Both titles went number 1 in the Wadden Islands album charts.
In the turmoil of their success the band split up, after which The Birthday Tapes Society cashed in with the compilation cassette 'The S!a!u!r!u!s! Sampler' (December 1981), featuring a bonus track by shady band manager Bob Cylon. The fame of Saurus (2) remained limited to Texel however. A CD/Mini-Disc version of 'The S!a!u!r!u!s! Sampler' released nationwide on Trumpett (TRUM 0110) in February 1999, could not make a difference.
The members of Saurus (2) were of the opinion that if humanity ever directs another space probe out of the solar system, it should contain not one golden record, like the Voyagers, but two golden records: Chrome's 'Alien Soundtracks' and Chrome's 'Half Machine Lip Moves'. "Everything extra-terrestrial life or, if it exists, extra-terrestrial intelligence needs to know about the species Homo Sapiens is on these two records," Saurus (2) said.
