My Cousin Kate recorded recorded their first demo in 2001. ‘Strange Glue’ saw them attract interest from local Surf company SaltRock who used follow-up 'Neurons' in their promotional advert. They entered and won Metal Hammer magazine’s annual unsigned band competition after submitting their ‘Half’ EP. The obvious next step was their first single.
