Old Manual is the alias of the Portuguese singer, and electronic music composer and producer, Manuel Robim. Manuel Robim is a Multimedia artist, that while working as a Graphic and Sound Designer, produces music under several aliases. Old Manual's debut album HD was released on January 1st 2013, by his own label AVNL Records (co-managed with Portuguese musicians Diogo Correia (Marie Dior) and Tiago Rodrigues (RAP/RAP/RAP). His approach towards electronic music is somehow experimental, in a more direct way. Rather than exploring textures and sounds directly, Old Manual tends to incarnate the styles themselves, experimenting them, and making his own audio exploitations from within the style he's experimenting. One cannot define easily what style of electronic music he ends up achieving as a whole, as he actively rejects fitting into any in particular. Ultimately, It will be easier for the audience to embrace each and every aspect of Old Manual's range of styles, in order to enjoy them fully.
