Real name: Clarence Francis Cherock

Shorty Sherock (born November 17, 1915, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - died February 19, 1980, Northridge, California, USA) was an American jazz trumpeter.

Shorty played with many artists including Charles Pierce, Dell Coon, Ben Pollack (1936), Frankie Masters, Jacques Renard, Jack Pettis, Seger Ellis, Santo Pecora, Jimmy Dorsey (1937-'39), Bob Crosby (1939-'40), Gene Krupa (1940-'41), Tommy Dorsey, Raymond Scott, Bud Freeman, Bob Strong, Alvino Rey, Horace Heidt and others.
