Real name: Donald Edward McGinnis

(Born 21 October 1917 in Barberton, Ohio – Died 28 October 2016 in Hilliard, Ohio)
Dr. Donald E. McGinnis was an American conductor, composer, musician (clarinet, flute) and music educator. He served long years as Professor and Director of Bands at The Ohio State University. As a musician he was the principal clarinetist of the Columbus Symphony for two years, and the principal flutist for another ten years.
