Valerie started out wanting to be a dancer, starting at age 4 and dreaming of Ballet in New York. She auditioned successfully with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Co. By the time she was 14, she had danced with England's Royal Ballet Co. during it's New York City season and she studied at the Jacob's Pillow school and theatre in Massachusetts.
She later moved to Clearwater, Florida, married Herb Malsman who produced one record for her.
