Received his vocal training at All Saints Cathereal Choir in Halifax, NS. Joined CBC Halifax in the early 1950s. He hosted Singalong Jubilee for it's full run and had a 31 year career with CBC radio and TV writing, narrating, announcing and co-hosting a variety of programs. Took early retirement in 1981 and joined the family business Bennet Communications. Now fully retired he has published two books of verse.
