John Macivor Perkins
Real name: John MacIvor Perkins

American composer born in St. Louis, Missouri, August 2, 1935. Mr. Perkins studied at Harvard, the New England Conservatory, and Brandeis University with Walter Piston, Claudio Spies, Arthur Berger and Irving Fine. Abroad he studied with Nadia Boulanger, Luigi Dallapiccola and Roberto Gerhard. He was at one time the assistant professor of music at the University of Chicago.
