French string quartet ensemble led by violinist Jacques Parrenin.It was formed in 1942 and began its international career in 1949, having appeared in the USA and in Eastern Europe.
The ensemble played not only the standard repertory, but also music of the Second Viennese School, as well as more recent compositions.
