Started as an artist in the duo Rick & Sandy, then as a solo act with Neil Diamond's Solitary Man.

Ran the London Division of Chess, later founding his own Rockburgh Records, label. Co-founded the management/production/publishing companies Roberton-Brown Associates/Roberton Brown Associates Ltd. and World's End Management, which became Worlds End Ltd./Worlds End America Inc after his 1985 move to Los Angeles.
