Liberator
The Liberator alias was a one off used to promote the tune Stand Above Me off the Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - Liberator album to club DJs instead of the usual OMD name. The ploy worked very well and fooled many US DJs, which managed to get OMD a top ten hit on the US Dance chart. (At the time OMD was Andy McCluskey solo, not the classic line-up.)
