Wilf Gibson

Real name: Wilfred D. Gibson

British violinist and session musician. Born February 28, 1945 in Dilston, Northumberland, England; died October 21, 2014.
He was educated at the Royal College of Music, London. In 1970, he played lead violin on Centipede (3)'s 1970 album 'Septober Energy'. The following year, he gave multiple contributions to King Crimson's fourth studio album 'Islands' (despite his contributions, he went uncredited). Early member of Electric Light Orchestra (from 1972 to Sep. 1973; known as Wilf-VAT-Gibson, as his terms were £15 a day for rehearsing, plus expenses and VAT).
