The Burgess Brothers

The Burgess Brothers were country vocalists and guitarists from Ahoskie, North Carolina comprised of Clayton and Billy Burgess. They signed a recording contract with Sound Factory Records in 1983 and recorded the single "Wizard of Oz" for the label. Clayton who composed the songs for the duo signed a staff writer's agreement With Malcolm Ford Music Group that same year. In 1988 the brothers would record their tribute to John Lennon, "Singing Shakespeare," and signed yet another recording contract with International Records.
