Real name: Steve Abbott

Australian comedian/musician. Johnny Goodman was Steve Abbott's alias in Castanet Club, a comedy/music ensemble formed in Newcastle in 1982. The group recorded one album in 1986 - Castanet Club - Castanet Club The eponymous Johnny Goodman - Johnny Goodman album was released in 1988. Abbott became more widely known as The Sandman (or "Sandy"), often as part of the comedy duo, Flacco and the Sandman. Prior to Castanet Club, Abbott was a member of the Newcastle band, The Musical Flags.
