Don Law

Real name: Donald Firth Law

English–American record producer and music business executive.
Singer at The London Choral Society before emigrating to the US in 1924,
he start his career at Brunswick Records and become A&R executive
after the acquisition of the label by American Record Corporation in the early 30s.
In 1936/37 he produced Robert Johnson's only recordings.
After ARC was taken over by Columbia Records, he worked for the Country division of the label,
becoming head manager in 1952 and remaining in office until 1967.
After his retirement from Columbia, he found his own production company, Don Law Productions.
Posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.

Born: February 24, 1902, in London, England.
Died: December 20, 1982, in La Grange, Texas, USA.
