Gilad Abro
Real name: Gilad Abro (Hebrew: גלעד אברו)
Gilad Abro (born 1981, Capetown, South Africa) is an South African-Israeli jazz double bassist. Abro studied classical compisition at The Rubin Acedemy for Music in Jerusalem. In 2003 he won "Jazz Player of the Year" in a contest at the Rimon School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. In addition to leading the Gilad Abro Trio he has worked as a session bassist, appearing on albums in a wide variety of musical styles.
