Bassist who grew up in San Jose, California with Cornell Hurd. The two began playing music together in 1964, forming the Berkeley, California-based band The El Rancho Cowboys in 1971. The group became Cornell Hurd And His Mondo Hot-Pants Orchestra in 1971 and The Cornell Hurd Band in 1977.
Roeber and the band moved to Austin, Texas in 1989 and remained with the group until 1997, when he moved to Florida. He continued to record with the band after this.
