Karl Ritter

Austrian guitarist. Knight learned violin at the age of six, but switched to guitar at the age of 12 and very soon began improvising and composing his own pieces.In 1980 Ritter produced his first long-playing record, "Ex-podo-Z". This was followed in 1985 by commissioned works for the Vienna Renaissance Theater as well as radio play productions for ORF and Bavarian Radio.
Knight gained greater fame under the name "Leopold Karasek" as a member of the group around Willi Resetarits alias Kurt Ostbahn, whom he was from 1988 to 1994 ("Ostbahn-Kurti & the chief part") and from 1996 to 2003 ("Kurt Ostbahn & the combo “) Belonged to. [1]
Ritter recorded several LPs and CDs as a solo artist and as a member of various formations. He also participated in projects - especially Austrian artists - from music, cabaret and performing arts. He also created compositions for theater, film and television.
