Swedish musician, songwriter and composer, born April 10, 1967 in Piteå.

During the 1990s, he was part of the indie band Popsicle, which was one of the central groups during the so-called swindie era. Mattsson later formed one half of the band Sweet Chariots and in 2003 formed the international band Vanessa & The O's together with, among others, James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins. Andreas Mattsson has released three solo albums, in 2006 came the first called The Lawlessness of the Ruling Classes.

Over the years, Mattsson has written many hit songs for other artists, including Carola, Fläskkvartetten, Lisa Nilsson, Sofia Karlsson, Bo Kaspers Orkester and Peter Jöback. He is also active as a producer and is behind Hello Saferide's album More Modern Short Stories From Hello Saferide, Tomas Andersson Wij's album Romantiken and co-produced Firefox AK's Color The Trees. He has often collaborated with Niclas Frisk and together they have, among other things, written the music for the TV series Våra vänners liv. In 2012, Mattsson wrote the music for Jonas Gardell's series Torka aldrig tårar utan handskar.
