Tommie Harris
US-American vocalist and drummer from Birmingham, Alabama. He started his musical career as a gospel singer and playing in several marching bands. 1957 he played drums in the band of Yusef Lateef. In the early 1970s he toured Europe and made Germany his new home, where he originally formed the band Heatwave. 1987 he was admitted to the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.
