Karine and Rebecca alias Karin Defacq born in Ixelles on November 16th, 1958 and her sister Rebecca Defacq born in Ixelles on June 8th, 1960 formed a duo of young singers and gained great success in the French-speaking part of Belgium in the middle of the sixties by interpreting songs for children.
In 1964 they sold 600.000 copies of their first 45 "Moi Je Dors Avec Nounours Dans Mes Bras" (written by their father Eddie Defacq and Jean Darlier), which earned Karine and Rebecca (being 5 and 4 years old) a golden disc.
