Real name: Isobel Marion Dorothea Mackellar
Born in Sydney 1 July 1885, died in Sydney 14 January 1968. Australian poet, best known for the poem 'My Country', particularly the first lines of the second stanza: I love a sunburnt country / A land of sweeping plains, / Of ragged mountain ranges, / Of droughts and flooding rains.
