Australian Celtic folk band from Canberra, ACT.

Celtic World Music group that offer a mix of original and traditional songs and tunes. Eilean Mor's musical focus is on original songs from the pen of singer Ruth Lee Martin and traditional songs and tunes interpreted with roots, jazz, world, and hypnotic-minimalist musical leanings. Their music is based on the Scottish Gaelic tradition, uprooted to Australia during the Highland clearances.

Band members have included: singer/songwriter Ruth Lee Martin; guitarist Bill Grose; Ed Rodrigues or Jon Jones on percussion; Bill Williams on double bass; Catherine Fraser or Chris Stone on fiddle.

Eilean Mòr released their first CD in 2006: 35 Degrees South was produced with the assistance of the Australia Council. Eilean Mòr's second CD Left of the Sun was completed at the end of 2008 and was launched in April 2009.
