Real name: Michel Darma

Born around 1949 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Centrafrican artist and musician Michel Darma, a.k.a. 'Dr. Wech' did his primary education at the Regional School of Yaounde. He made the secondary studies at college Burt, also in Cameroon. He arrived in Bangui in 1963 and joined the public service as a collection agent to recover, inspection and registration, with a degree of GCSE that he got in the Cameroonian capital. Dr Wech also made the obligatory military service of the Central African army in 1969, during the reign of former President Jean Bedel Bokassa of the Central African.
