The Venezuelan group Ankla arose in the mid-eighties, specifically in 1983 thanks to the initiative of its members: Graffe Angelo (as main vocalist), Cipriano Salvatore (keyboard player), Celestino Colasicco (main guitar), Gianni Patino (drummer) and Hernán Cocttens (as bassist and backing vocals). This group is part of the eighties movement of Venezuelan pop rock but it was not until 1988 that they recorded their first full length called “Fantasía”, this name of the group's promotional theme which was widely disseminated nationally by the old record label Top Hits.
