German composer, conductor and arranger (* 23 August 1928 in Chemnitz, German Empire; † 04 August 2015 in Berlin, Germany).

Nick-name: "Natsch"
From 1949-1952, he was conductor of the Rundfunk Tanzorchester Leipzig. In 1952, he became conductor of the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Berlin. Schoolboy by Hanns Eisler from 1951-53.
Gerd Natschinski wrote and arranged music for Radio, Operetta, (TV)-Motion Pictures, Dancing-Events so that he was one of the most regarded Musicians in East Germany.

His son Thomas Natschinski also started a musical career with a own band Thomas Natschinski Und Seine Gruppe.
