Born 16 May 1948 in Erfurt, Germany. Player in many formations in the 1970s: Guitar and vocals in Die Nautiks, Horst Krüger-Band, Neue Generation. In 1985 he leaves the GDR. Most currently (2010) Heinz-Jürgen Gottschalk plays solo and with the project "Vital" with Ex-Nautiks Werner Zentgraf.
