British-Canadian jazz clarinetist and cartoonist, born June 21, 1924, Vancouver, Canada - died March 1, 2023, London, England.
His family emigrated to Britain in 1931. He joined George Webb's Dixielanders in 1944 and was one of the founding members of Humphrey Lyttelton's band in 1948.
From the late 1940s he also worked as cartoonist for Daily Mail and magazines under the pseudonym Trog.
