Iconic New Zealand-based Tongan pedal steel guitarist and bandleader. Born October 7, 1923, died September 25, 2003.

Well-known for his recordings on New Zealand's Viking label, Bill also recorded for TANZA and had releases on the Salem label. He also worked a lot with fellow Tongan steel guitarist, Bill Sevesi.

His grandson is Lance Ferguson. His nephew is Ferdinand Maxwell Wolfgramm ( aka Nani Wolfgramm), leader of the Nani Wolfgramm & His Islanders ensemble.
