Originally formed as The Rhythm Aces (2) on a US Army base in Germany, three members of that band later formed The Rockets based in Chicago, IL. They recorded one single for Modern Records (2) under the name The Rockets: "Be Lovey Dovey"/"You Are The First One". They then changed their name to The Rocketeers (4), Magic Notes, The Planets, and back to The Rockets and were associated with Johnny Otis.Members: Billy Steward (First Tenor), Woody Johnson (Second Tenor), Jimmy Brunsen (Tenor), Vince House (Baritone/Bass)
