Björn Yttling

Real name: Björn Daniel Arne Yttling

Swedish musician and producer born 16 October 1974 in Umeå, Sweden. He is an engineer at Högalid Studio.

Yttling forms together with Peter Morén and John Eriksson the group Peter Bjorn and John, which has achieved international success.

He has also run the jazz project Yttling Jazz and forms together with Jocke Åhlund from Teddybears Sthlm the duo Smile. Together with other artists such as the other members of Peter, Bjorn & John, Joakim Åhlund and Lykke Li, Yttling is one of the founders of the artist collective and record label INGRID.

Yttling grew up in Måggliden, near the village of Bjursele in Norsjö municipality, and attended the music program at Carlforsska gymnasium in Västerås, together with, among others, Marit Bergman. The family and also the girlfriend come from Boden. Yttling's father played in the 60s band Spotlites and Björn Yttling started writing and recording music as an eight-year-old.

He has collaborated with music luminaries such as Chrissie Hynde, Marit Bergman, Primal Scream, Nicolai Dunger, Caesars Palace, EP's Trailer Park, Robyn, The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Sahara Hotnights, Lykke Li, Anna Ternheim, Lisa Miskovsky and Moneybrother. Yttling himself mostly plays keyboard instruments such as keyboard, organ, piano and mellotron, but also sings and plays electric bass.
