Dorothea Trowbridge
Dorothea Trowbridge (first name also spelled Doretha or Dorathea) was an American blues singer active in St. Louis in the 1930s.
She recorded two titles for Bluebird in 1933, at least one of which includes lyrics on the theme of "grinding", a blues slang term for copulation, and also a duet with James "Stump" Johnson at the same session.
Dorothy Baker (2) may also be a pseudonym for Doretha Trowbridge.
